A Magazine for Women is a Woman’s Smart Read

Wednesday, October 26th, 2011

Women magazines are continuously opening up women to the wonders and the demands of modern lifestyle, and these magazines will continue to empower women and provide them with sweet pleasure for many generations to come. They represent the varied interests of women here and now; they could make a woman more well-versed and well-rounded in all the escapades involved in womanhood. However varied the content of these magazines may be, one factor that could determine readership is age. Of course the interests of teenage women, young adult women, middle adult women, and elderly women are all divergent, and there are women’s magazines that cater to stratified age groups. Furthermore, these magazines are not exclusively for women; even insightful and curious men who want to look at the world from another perspective could check them out at their will and even learn something worthwhile about women.

By nature, women’s magazines are always generalist in content. Whether a woman is looking for household tips, beauty tips, career advice, healthy lifestyle information, fashion trends, relationship advice, travel information, stands on social issues, celebrity gossip and human interest stories about other women all over the world, women’s magazines will give them all that. They contain the sum total of meaningful experiences of women writ large and circulating across the media. They promote a worthwhile image of women – that they are also aware of the world around them and are willing to do everything to make it a better place to reside in. Reading women’s magazines give women a sense of encouragement: that they could be all they can be, and the images remind them of what they are and what they could be.

So, if you want to identify with women all over, a magazine for women is the best reading material to get and enjoy.

“So, one possible policy implication is to do more to help working parents find ways of quick and easy to prepare healthy food,” he said as quoted by page healthday.com.

Morrissey and his colleagues analyzed data from NICHD’s Study of Early Child Care and Youth Development, which began in 1991 and involving 1300 newborns in 10 cities in the United States. For this study, they examined data from 900 children collected by telephone and personal interviews as a child in grade 3.5, and 6.

“For the average height of children in third grade pupils, increased BMI equal size with the addition of one level and 0.3 to one kilogram overweight, compared to the addition of normal occurred in a year,” said Morrissey. The effect was even greater among children grade 5 and 6.

“This is probably due to the fifth and sixth graders generally have greater independence and the nature of adult supervision to lower-than the use of time and their food choices than the third graders. Mothers who work resulted in the selection of food the child becomes ill and rarely do physical activity, “wrote the researchers in this study.

Alison E Field, an obesity researcher and professor of child health at Harvard Medical School, United States, said that this study highlights the challenges faced by all parents who work because they must balance the demands of responsibilities between work and family.

Parents: the Kid’s Future

Monday, December 27th, 2010

The key to good education is the involvement of adults who are parents full attention. If the parents directly involved in the education of children in school, the child’s achievement will increase.

Here are some things that need to be done by parents to their children to excel in school.

* Parents Support.
Parents should pay attention to their children and impart to them the value and purpose of education. They also sought to know their child’s progress at school. The trick is to visit the school to see the situation and environment education in schools. Interest in school activities will directly affect your child’s education.

Cooperate with the teacher.
Usually if you develop serious problems, then some parents contact their children’s teachers. Instead, parents need to know the teachers at the school and establish good relationships with them. Communicate with the teacher for your child’s development. Teachers also need to be told that you look at your child’s education important in schools as part of his life. This will create more attention to your child’s teacher. Attend a meeting of parents of students and teachers organized by the school. At this meeting, you have the opportunity to know your child’s academic achievement and the development of your child in school. If a teacher says something bad about your child, listen to the teacher with great respect, and find out what he said. You also can ask the teachers at the school on achievement, attitude, and attendance of children at school. If a child is often two-faced, then the explanation from the teacher may reveal hidden things from your child while being nice at home

Supervise learning activities at home.
Show you are interested in your child’s education. Make sure your kids are doing their homework. Require yourself to learn something with your kids. Read with them. Do not forget to schedule time each day to check your child’s homework. Control your time watching TV, the Internet and play games from your kids.

Do some discipline.
Run discipline firmly but lovingly. If you always obey the wishes of children, then they will become spoiled and irresponsible. Another problem can arise if you pamper your child like teen sex, drugs, poor performance, and other problems.
